Easy to Use

I/Gear’s WAGO-to-Database Software is configured using wizards that walk the user through setting up connections to the PFC and database, and for setting up commands for when and where to move the data. The software is a Windows service; once you set it up it runs on its own with little or know maintenance required.

Cost Effective

I/Gear’s WAGO-to-Database Software is priced at $500 per PFC or $2,000 per site. The site license allows for unlimited connectivity between any number of WAGO PFCs and databases or spreadsheets. For full service technical support, an annual maintenance agreement can be purchased for $100 per PFC or $400 for a site license.

Customer Successes – OEE Data Collection

To add to the challenge, none of OMT’s machines were Ethernet capable.

WAGO PFCs were used to collect data from each machine PLC via discrete I/O, buffer the data, and make the data accessible to the Ethernet network. I/Gear software was used to collect data from each WAGO PFC and write the data to a Microsoft SQL production database for plant-wide web reporting.

The result is increased efficiency and profitability by leveraging information for continuous improvement and immediate response to downtime issues.
